TenChek is an interactive web and telephone-based system that allows landlords, superintendents and property managers to access information about rental applicants' credit and tenancy track record, and to contribute information to a national data bank of current and past tenants.

TenChek provides reliable information on tenant track records that is not available from credit bureaus. Additionally, TenChek draws credit report information from both TransUnion and Equifax, the two major Canadian credit bureaus. The combination of tenant rental history and credit history provide a complete profile of a residential tenancy applicant.

All information in the database comes landlords, building superintendents and property managers who have first-hand experience with the tenants in question. The authenticity of these landlords is verified before membership is granted, so you can be assured that any information you get from TenChek is valid and accurate.

All of the information in the database is factual and can be supported with documentation. There is no subjective (opinion-based) information in the system and there is no way to enter such information into the system.
